From Columbia to Carroll County

North of I-70, MD-32 narrows. It passes through Sykesville and Eldersburg and ends near Westminster, with MD-97 linking the two towns and MD-26 crossing it at Eldersburg. This stretch is a direct route between our Columbia office (5305 Village Center Drive, Suite 201) and our Westminster office (1718 Old Liberty Rd). See Carroll County and Westminster.

Two-lane roads mean narrow shoulders and few places to pull off, so give dispatch a landmark or mile marker, and tell them which side of the road the truck is on.

South of I-70 the road is a limited-access freeway with interchanges at MD-108 in Clarksville and US-29 in Columbia. North of Glenelg it becomes a plain highway with intersections, and the freeway-style exit numbers stop. If you cannot read an exit sign, a cross road, a business name, or a bridge works just as well for dispatch. Also say which way you are headed and whether the truck is loaded, because that decides which wrecker is sent and where the truck can safely be taken.

What we handle

Trucks on MD-32 are often headed to or from Fort Meade, the Columbia business parks, or Carroll County job sites. Dump trucks, delivery rigs, and contractor equipment are the usual mix, and a breakdown on the narrow northern stretch can close a lane for everyone behind it. A mobile diesel mechanic often fixes a derate, no-start, or electrical fault where the truck sits. See DPF derate repair and truck road service. Our in-house diesel techs use dealer-level diagnostics.

If a tow is needed: semi truck towing in Maryland, or Landoll and RGN service for equipment. Shop diesel repair is at the Randallstown yard, 9325 Liberty Rd. See the heavy duty page for recovery.

Priority accepts EFS, ComChek, and T-Check, with 47 reviews on PreferredMechanic. Quotes are free. Call 911 first if the truck is a hazard.
