Our own equipment, not a broker list

  • Heavy wreckers. For tractor-trailers, buses, and heavy straight trucks, plus highway recovery.
  • Landoll sliding-axle trailer. Low-angle, damage-sensitive loading of disabled units and machinery.
  • RGN lowboy. Detachable gooseneck for construction equipment and low-clearance loads.
  • Mobile diesel service trucks. Dealer-level diagnostics on the shoulder, so a tow is only sent when it is needed.

How heavy duty towing works with Priority

  1. 1. Call dispatch

Call (240) 780-8691. Give location, unit type, load, and what happened.

  2. 2. Right truck, first time

Dispatch matches the wrecker, Landoll, or RGN to the job and sends it using GPS, with a 30-minute response target.

  3. 3. Recover and clear

Wreckmaster-certified operators secure the unit, recover it if needed, and clear the lane.

  4. 4. Deliver or repair

We tow to your yard, a dealer, or our Randallstown diesel shop at 9325 Liberty Rd.

If anyone is injured, fuel or cargo is spilling, or a lane is blocked, call 911 first, then dispatch.

Heavy duty towing by vehicle type

Heavy duty towing covers very different jobs. A loaded tractor-trailer, a 40-foot coach, and a 26-foot box truck each need a different wrecker, a different hookup, and a different plan. Dispatch asks what you are running so the right equipment rolls the first time.

Semi truck and tractor-trailer towing

Tractors with or without the trailer, loaded or empty, on I-95, I-695, I-795, and I-70 out to Monrovia. If the trailer can stay, we tow the tractor. If the load has shifted or the unit is on its side, our operators plan the upright and recovery before anything moves. Details: semi truck towing in Maryland and rollover recovery.

Bus and coach towing

School buses, transit buses, shuttles, and motor coaches have long overhangs and low clearance, and most need the driveshaft or axles handled correctly before a tow. We set up for the bus in front of us, protect the body and drivetrain, and deliver it to your yard, your dealer, or our Randallstown diesel shop.

Box truck and straight truck towing

Box trucks break down in places big tractors never go: loading docks, city streets, garages, and retail lots. We tow them across Baltimore, Howard, and Carroll counties, and our mobile diesel mechanic can often clear a derate or no-start first. See box truck towing in Baltimore.

RGN and Landoll for equipment

Machinery, damaged units, and anything that cannot roll on its own axles goes on our RGN lowboy (35-ton class) or Landoll sliding-axle trailer. Same dispatch for both, and we own both trailers. See also construction equipment towing.

Mobile diesel first, when it makes sense

Not every heavy truck that stops needs a tow. Derates, no-starts, and air leaks often get fixed on the shoulder. Our dispatchers ask before rolling a wrecker, and send a mechanic first when a repair is realistic. See DPF derate repair and, in Howard County, our mobile diesel mechanic in Columbia.

Who relies on our heavy towing

Owner-operators, regional and national fleets, freight and logistics companies, contractors, municipalities, and bus operators across central Maryland. Fleets can set up an account through the fleet quote form for one number on call 24/7. We accept EFS, ComChek, T-Check, cash, and major credit cards.

Heavy duty towing in Maryland: FAQ

What counts as heavy duty towing?

Towing and recovery for large commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, buses, heavy straight trucks, dump trucks, and equipment, which need heavy wreckers or specialized trailers.

How fast can a heavy wrecker reach me?

Our trucks are GPS-dispatched with a 30-minute response target. Dispatch gives a live ETA based on traffic and location.

Do you own your equipment?

Yes. We run our own heavy wreckers, Landoll trailer, and RGN lowboy, operated by Wreckmaster-certified operators.

Do you handle accident recovery and rollovers?

Yes. Uprights, winch-outs, and highway recovery are part of our heavy duty service.
